WestJet adds 31 additional European cities to its network through enhanced Air France codeshare agreement

WestJet has expanded its codeshare agreement with Air France, offering access to 31 new destinations across Europe from Paris. This enhances WestJet’s network in Europe from 53 total destinations available via a single ticket. The expansion supports WestJet’s new year-round service between Calgary and Paris as of September 25, 2023.

Friday, September 14, 2023 /CNW/ – WestJet today announced that, as part of an expansion of its codeshare agreement with Air France codeshare, starting on September 25, 2023, its guests would have access to 31 new locations located across 11 European countries from Paris Charles de Gaulle Airport (CDG).

After a fruitful ten years of collaboration, the two airlines have linked millions of passengers between Canada and Europe with the ease of a single ticket and the chance to accrue WestJet Dollars for the duration of their trip. The codeshare arrangement between WestJet and air france codeshare partners previously covered 22 destinations via Charles De Gaulle Airport; these will all remain accessible as part of the WestJet network, even if the number of onward destinations in Europe has increased to 53.

“With our Air France codeshare agreement, air france codeshare delta is thrilled to more than double our current destination offerings, significantly expanding opportunities for Canadians to make their dream getaways to Europe a reality,” said Chris Avery, vice president of commercial development at WestJet.

WestJet has expanded its seasonal service to the city of love to operate year-round between Calgary and Paris due to the extraordinary demand for it. During seasons of high travel demand, the once seasonal route will continue to operate on WestJet’s 787 Dreamliner up to seven days a week. It will also serve as the perfect connecting point for our clients to easily connect onto Air France to these additional locations.
