A new store by T&T Supermarkets is set to open in downtown Toronto, close to Yonge and Dundas Square, the Eaton Centre, and Toronto Metropolitan University, among other notable local locations.
The 31,000-square-foot store is slated to debut in the spring of 2025 and will be housed in Lifetime Development’s Panda Condos. This property was once home to the World’s Biggest Bookstore, as Torontonians may recall.
T&T Downtown Toronto
T&T saw the need for another easily accessible store in the center of downtown Toronto after the success of its College & Spadina location. “We felt the city was ready for more since we’ve experienced such tremendous demand at our College and Spadina location. Tina Lee, CEO of T&T Supermarkets, stated, “We knew a big percentage of our delivery orders were going to the Yonge and Dundas area, so it was the natural choice when choosing the location of the new store.”
Both locals and students will be served by the new T&T store. Tina Lee goes on, “University students may not have the time or the know-how to cook for themselves due to their busy schedules and often being on their own for the first time.” Besides prepared meals, fresh produce, and, of course, late-night study munchies, nearby students will be delighted to be provided with some of their favorite home-cooked foods.

Following the recent announcement of T&T stores in Kanata, Ottawa, Brossard, Quebec, and Bellevue, Washington, comes the news of the new shop at 20 Edward Street. With its street food concept, the new store will be T&T’s second after its Fairview Mall site. Together with the regular assortment, it will serve a number of quick and simple dishes like popcorn chicken, packed rice rolls in the Taiwanese manner, and Chinese crepes.
