United Voices: Art of Collective Struggle

May 22 - May 31

Event Announcement: Collective Power Exhibition

This year, the Collective Power Exhibition proudly features twenty remarkable artists, each engaging with compassion and the spirit of collective power. The exhibition will showcase diverse and compelling responses to various social and political issues, highlighting our joint struggles and resilience.

From addressing the barriers to accessible health care in Ontario to advocating for the dignity of migrant workers in Quebec, the artworks explore crucial themes. They capture the alienation faced by injured workers in Toronto, the impact of classist land grabbing in Pakistan, and analyze radical protests against resource exploitation in the Caribbean. The long-lasting impacts of French colonialism are clarified, and the endurance of Palestinian political prisoners is poignantly witnessed.

The exhibitions present a rich variety of mediums, including multi-channel video, sculpture, textile art, installation, video, website creation, and virtual landscapes. In addition to these visual art forms, the event will feature live music, shadow puppet performances, and curated film screenings. Attendees can also participate in interactive workshops, informed panel discussions, and intimate artist talks, fostering a deeper connection with the art and the issues it represents.

Join us in celebrating the power of art to narrate and unite our collective struggles.
