Air Canada revealed the 30 nominees for Canada’s Best New Restaurants 2023, a program celebrating new eateries and culinary talent across the country. One anonymous reviewer will dine at the top openings nationwide to select the Top 10 list, to be announced November 1 in Toronto. The nominees span 15 cities in 7 provinces.

Air Canada revealed the 30 nominees for Canada’s Best New Restaurants 2023, introducing a fresh batch of eateries to the most established Canadian restaurant honors. Since its launch in 2002, Air Canada’s hallmark program has celebrated new restaurants, chefs, and up-and-coming talent while championing the nation’s unique culinary culture. Today on, the much-awaited longlist for the 22nd edition of Canada’s Best New Restaurants launches.

Thirty fantastic Canadian restaurant selections are listed by Air Canada and Canada’s Best New Restaurants program, in response to the fact that 10% of adult travelers choose vacations centered around food experiences. The longlist, which spans 15 locations in seven provinces, includes eateries that both domestic and foreign tourists should not miss. Being on this list increases the selected eateries’ visibility both nationally and internationally.

Air Canada sends one undercover journalist on a month-long gastronomic marathon to sample the offerings of the top 30 most prominent openings nationwide, all of which are now vying for the coveted Top 10 list, based on the recommendations of a coast-to-coast panel of food experts.

The Best New Restaurants in Canada The best restaurants in the nation that opened between late spring 2022 and May 31, 2023, are highlighted in 2023. These eateries offer remarkable experiences through their superior cuisine, attentive service, and dedication to culinary innovation.

The following restaurants are up for nomination as Canada’s Best New Restaurants in 2023: 9 Tail Fox in Montreal; Acre Through the Seasons in Richmond; Anemone in Montreal; Bar Accanto in Winnipeg; Bar Chouette in Calgary; Bonheur d’Occasion in Montreal; Brassica, Gibsons; Cabaret l’Enfer in Montreal; Casa Paco in Toronto; Darlings, Bloomfield; Dotty’s in Toronto; Espace Old Mill, Stanbridge East; Fawn, Halifax; Folke, Vancouver; Fortuna’s Row, Calgary; Kappo Sato in Toronto; Lao Lao BarErr.

November 1, 2023, in Toronto, there will be a ceremony to unveil this year’s Top 10. The November edition of Air Canada enRoute magazine and will both feature the winners.
