Melissa Hance, Dreams Take Flight YVR President, expressed her excitement about the 28th Dreams flight after a 3-year break, aiming to create enchanting memories for 119 children associated with organizations like BC Children’s Hospital and Children’s Organ Transplant Society, among others. She emphasized that challenges aren’t always physical; the recent years have mentally impacted many, and the goal is to offer these special children a day of magic. She extended her gratitude to the Air Canada Foundation, volunteers, employees, YVR, and all sponsors for their unwavering support.

Valerie Durand, the Air Canada Foundation spokesperson, shared her happiness in witnessing these deserving children enjoy their special day. She applauded everyone’s commitment to ensuring the children return with unforgettable memories. She also highlighted the Air Canada Foundation’s pleasure in supporting Dreams Take Flight Vancouver’s mission.

Annually, 1,700 children embark on a dream journey to theme parks in Florida or California. This year, three more such flights are scheduled from Calgary, Montreal, and Ottawa. Earlier, children from Edmonton, Winnipeg, Toronto, and Halifax had their dream flights.
